Daisy Edgar-Jones’ at met gala
Daisy Edgar-Jones’ Met Gala Makeup Look

Makeup Artist: Jo Baker

The Inspiration: “The effortlessly cool London girl. Fresh healthy sun-kissed skin with modest details that ooze natural charm bring Daisy’s features out in a cool ‘girl next door’ way. Soft, pretty with a tiny bit of edge to balance the flamboyance of her Alexander McQueen gown. With the white hue and lace details of the gown we wanted to keep it feeling modern London girl and not too glam or polished.”

Makeup Artist: Tobi Henney

The Inspiration: “I loved using pink tones in Karlie’s glam to create a soft, romantic makeup look. I was inspired by the lavender orchid on the dress designed by Jonathan Anderson. The shape, color, and structure to the dress tied in beautifully with this classic yet whimsical makeup.”

Imaan Hammam at met gala

Makeup Artist: Aya Tariq

The Inspiration: “The makeup was inspired by the artist Artemisia Gentileschi’s self-portrait, where you can see almost burnt cheeks. I used a copper blush on the cheeks and good amount of bronzer to create shadows and contrast. The red reminds me of Morocco—the clay, the houses in Marrakech, gold contrasted with beautiful red. I brought both those inspirations together to create this stunning look for Imaan.”
